Some of the Archaeological WWW sites on the net
For a bit of variety - and education - check out a bit of history.
I don't check all of these regularly, if you find a link that's
broken, please let me know. Last revised 27th October, 1999.

Mediaeval Job site. A strange site that asks you some questions and then
tells you what medieval career you'd be most suited for. Maybe. :)
By request, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism's Official Site, Tour
Egypt. Has a 1,000 page history of Egypt, a search engine which includes
Egyptology sections, etc. Over 4,000 pages on line, including pictures
of monuments, write ups on Kings, a large mythology section and a lot more.

Also by request, the Provincial Museum of Alberta, Canada. Over 400
pages of information about the Museum, including an introduction to the
twelve curatorial programs, information on galleries, exhibits and educational
programs. There's a considerable amount of information, especially on the
archaeology, human and natural history of Alberta and Western Canada.

This site is about the ongoing excavations at Catalhoyuk in Turkey.
Work restarted at the site in 1993. After the second season in 1994, this
is the first opportunity to pass on information about what the aims of the
project are, what has been achieved so far and what is planned.

worth a visit to check on it's progress. The subject is certainly
fascinating.
