Please note that a cousin from the NZ branch is currently working on a book on the family. Publication is hoped for 2008/2009. Once the book is published there will be a drastic expansion of the genealogy of the family in Ireland & New Zealand as well as the above files then being combined into a full and detailed whole family genealogy (ie: with as much detail for the extended family as currently for my own line). I have also considerably expanded my own files but will hold off posting the latest versions until the book is published to include the extra information on teh family Ireland-side. Jane Ziegler, email Brothers Patrick, Michael & Edward Irwin of Feenagh, Co Limerick, Ireland, born early 1800's. Emigrated to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, in the mid 1800's. Also a sister, Johanna Irwin, settled at Chicago, USA. Another brother emigrated to Australia and made a fortune on the gold fields, name unknown.
George Irwin, email George Crawford Irwin, emigrated to Illinois, USA, 1884 from Castlederg, Co Tyrone, Ireland. Three brothers and a sister had previously emigrated to the USA. Son of John, grandson of Charles and ggrandson of Christy Irwin. An uncle, Charles Irwin, went to Australia in the mid 1800's. Possibly the family of Jane Ziegler, above.

Theresa Warner, email Charles Edward Irwin, married Mary Agnes Myall. According to family lore Charles was a younger son, born in the Eastern states (Australia) and moved to Western Australia. Son Kevin Joseph Irwin was born 1928, Northam, WA. No known connection to my line.

Had 10 children: William, Charles, John Fletcher, Matilda, Presley, George W, Crawford, Marcus Lafayette, Mary Anne and Thomas J., all born PA, USA. 2nd line: William T. Irwin, born England, emigrated to New York, USA and married Elizabeth Kranzlien. Son Thomas Paul Irwin (1894-1960) and another son, George.
